Gary Shannon - Road Foreman

Gary Shannon has worked in the Forest Resource industry in an operational capacity in the West Kootenay area for >35 years. 

He has deep experience in all phases of Forest Road Management specalizing as a Road Foreman relating to road construction, incident management, maintenance, upgrades, and deactivation performed on challenging terrain.  His experience includes significant focus on the implementation of detailed prescribed measures and the performance of other technical engineering solutions.

Gary’s skill set also includes interpretation of geometric road designs, working with construction surveys, construction staking and volumetrics when implementing construction in a production based contracting environment.  Gary also embraces the broader diligence required of the industry and is current with all BC Forest Safety Council and EMS requirements.

Gary very much enjoys his role that helps to unite the road building/contracting community with the SCL team of professionals.
